The recently released track ‘Feel It Right Now’  by Highway Superstar and featuring the enigmatic producer Doubleboy immediately jumped to the top of our list, with it’s irresistibly cheerful music video only furthering the cause. ‘Feel It Right Now’ features on Highway Superstar’s latest LP, Contraband released today and here to provide those feel-good vibes to get you on your way. We were lucky enough to sit down for a one on one interview with the producer when he released his latest single, the mystical ‘Pangea’ which was inspired by long bygone times. The diverse LP also features ‘Slow Motion’ with the genre crossing songstress Zoe Polanski and ‘Down This Road (ft. Sally Shapiro’. If pushed to choose, our personal favourite from the LP would be the inescapable ‘Time’ with its rhythmic elements and gentle cues to the passing of decades. But really, each song holds its own strength in this impressive record.

“The album is predominantly retro in nature, but I drew inspiration from a wide spectrum of influences. It’s important to me that the songs have a wide variety to them so that the listener is rewarded with an experience that takes them to different places – from modern electronic pop takes, to indie cuts, to instrumental journeys through the soundscapes. I’m extremely proud of the songs in Contraband and the two-year journey it took to create it.”
