British electronic duo Mesh, founded in Bristol in 1991 by Mark Hockings and Richard Silverthorn, have unveiled the official video for ‘Fallen Angel’, released 21 October 2026 via Dependent Records. The energetic title track leads their forthcoming nine-track mini-album, set for release on 27 November. Since Neil Taylor’s departure in 2006, Hockings and Silverthorn have continued to expand their catalogue, drawing on early releases for Memento Materia and later collaborations with Olaf Wollschläger. The mini-album features three additional new tracks, the first physical release of ‘Tilt’, a live rendition of ‘The Truth Doesn’t Matter’ recorded in Cologne, and further mixes with Wollschläger. Recording sessions took place at Mesh HQ and The Summerhouse in Bristol, with mixing completed at Cottonbeat Studio in Germany.

Their March 2026 album The Truth Doesn’t Matter received acclaim for its songwriting and production, leading to sold-out shows on the accompanying tour. The new mini-album serves as a concise addendum, collecting material written during that creative period rather than marking a distinct new chapter.

‘Fallen Angel’ originated as an instrumental called ‘Pivot’, but Hockings’ evocative lyric transformed it into something far more than a B-side. The song pulses with a steady electronic heartbeat beneath soaring vocals, the chorus looping around the haunting question, “Did you miss your calling as a fallen angel?” Directed by longtime collaborator Kieran Gallop of GLK Media, the video weaves together dynamic performance shots of the duo with a parallel story starring Rosie Corbeau and Felicia Logue. Striking visuals with halos of light and drifting feathers underscore the song’s mood. The lyrics conjure longing and uncertainty, hinting at a hope that never arrives, a clipped wing, and a figure both “beautiful and pure / terrible and cruel,” all enveloped in Mesh’s unmistakable electronic soundscape.

Richard Silverthorn shared: “The track, ‘Fallen Angel’, was born out of a piece of music with the working title ‘Pivot’. Mark came up with an inspired lyric and the finished song stood out as more than just a B-side. Enjoy!”
