UK-based producer october mills unveiled his breathtaking debut EP Transit today. The four-track EP was released on Enhanced Chill, and highlights his affinity for creating emotively-driven soundscapes, which are anchored through the deft use of live instrumentation and modular synthesis.
The EP features four stand-out collaborations with superbly talented vocalists, Ed Graves, JOSEFINA, Noah Jaems and Matthew Adam Green. Each track has a distinct life of its own, radiating its unique sonic blueprint through polished melodic allure, all culminating into a dreamy, cohesive body of work.
The EP brilliantly exhibits october mills’ knack for versatility; from the warmth of the break-beat influenced opening track ‘close’ featuring Ed Graves‘ tender vocals, to the succulent pads and delicate nature of ‘Real Life’ with Noah Jaems, and the nostalgic yearning of ‘Those Days are Gone’ with Matthew Adam Greene. The closing track ‘Trace of You’ featuring JOSEFINA, ends the EP on a sentimental note, with its melodic ambience and emotional pull.
