Russian three-piece Sex Of Insects have released their infectious remix EP. ‘I Can Hear The Acid Remixes‘ cements them as masters of the mix, after considerable success with their recent releases “I’m Full Remixes” and “I Can Hear The Light Remixes” which have collectively racked up over 32 thousand plays on Soundcloud.
Sex Of Insects is Anatoly Ylotana, Alexandra Bartashevich and Roman Korablove. Established in May 2016, their vibrant vocals and fresh electronic grooves have garnered the attention of tastemaker publications CLASH Magazine and Konbini. Indie Shuffle responded to their ‘I Can Hear The Light (Dave Pad Remix)‘ with the words “to be honest, trying to write about anything while this remix is playing is impossible. Give it a try, if you manage we’ll have you on as a writer for Indie Shuffle.
Lord. I. Can’t. Stop. Swaying.”
The EP is chock-full of trippy dancefloor components and psychedelic sounds. It runs the full guantlet from an oriental-inspired take, to a latin-american inspired sound, through to a dance-floor classic.
First in line to remix Sex Of Insects unique improvised guitar sounds, is Alexi Delano, hailed as “the man who is made of music.” He takes the track on a techno journey, remodelling it in his signature “Electroniq’ musique,” whilst simultaneously allowing it to retain the magnetism of its original trance-like oriental sound.
