yetep released his debut full-length album The ÿ Album on February 27 via Lost In Dreams. Originally from Seoul, Korea, and now based in Los Angeles, the producer and DJ first built momentum with his monthly SoundCloud mix series on Tumblr. Those uploads grew a global audience appreciative of the emotional range in his sound. His original tracks gained support from Seven Lions, Dabin, and Adventure Club, along with placements on labels like Lost In Dreams, Ophelia, and Monstercat. The philosophy aligns with his Common Unitÿ initiatives, which focus on aid for homeless youth and mental health awareness, making the album a statement of connection in the electronic music space.

The album channels that spirit of exploration into a vibrant fusion of melodic bass, future bass, and emotionally charged EDM. Each track stands on its own, yet together they trace yetep‘s personal journey, opening with the ache of heartbreak and loss on ‘Same Love Twice’ featuring Rosie Darling. The momentum surges with the electrifying dubstep of ‘Take Me Down’ featuring Casey Cook, before arriving at a hopeful, uplifting finale in ‘Paint The Sky’ with Amidy. This progression mirrors the dynamic blend of energy and vulnerability that has become the hallmark of his live performances.

yetep had this to say: “When I first started writing this album, I wanted it to feel open format. I started my music career making mixes on SoundCloud and posting them on Tumblr, just playing whatever I loved with no genre rules at all. That freedom is what made me fall in love with music in the first place. With this album, I wanted to bring that same energy back, the way my live sets feel. It’s all over the place on purpose. It’s genreless, and I’m really proud of that. There’s something on this album for everyone, and I think that’s what makes it special.
