His sets have hit major spots like Osheaga, Transmusicales de Rennes, FME, and Meg Festival, plus opening slots for Vitalic, Perturbator, and Carpenter Brut—nearly 100 gigs since 2015, over 70 across the U.S. and Europe. Outlets such as CLASH Magazine, KALTBLUT Magazine, METAL Magazine, YourEDM, Post-Punk.com, Decoded Magazine, and Run The Trap have backed his work, which topped the NACC Top 200 as Most Added and landed on NewRetroWave’s radar.
He layers techno, occult electro, and nods to horror and sci-fi scores into a sound that’s equal parts shadow and pull. On the flip, New York and London’s I’MMORTAL, a California native whose musical background has roots on violin in orchestras, broke out in August 2023 with the tech-house cut ‘Versace Spaceship’. The remix shifts I’MMORTAL’s base track—built on glitchy autotune, trap snares and lyrics probing human-machine relations, all resolving into sawtooth synths, thumping bass, and trailing digital hums—into industrial darksynth terrain. Das Mörtal amps the grit up, splintering those core glitches into heavier, more menacing layers.
The video amps the unease: I’MMORTAL commands a pole stage under blue and red hazy lights, striding in platform heels and mirrored visors that scream dominance laced with an enigmatic charsima. A hulking figure peers through stuttering monitors as a dark silhouette dancer echoes her moves in fractured tandem. As glitches thicken, it tips into visceral distortion—the watcher’s features twist and sag, his form slumping into a slick, earthen mass like some dredged-up swamp thing. In the close, she sheds the visors to bare a blank face, her gaze flickering from her torso in a stark, off-kilter reveal.
