Baby Jane unveiled her latest single, ‘Midnight Highway‘, accompanied by its music video. The independent electronic artist continues to forge a distinct path within the fringes of EDM, cultivating a devoted audience through her deep-rooted connections to gaming culture. Recent projects include a virtual meet-and-greet on Roblox and an original-music DJ set staged in a digital nightclub crafted around her persona. Her track ‘Eternal Embrace‘ was featured in the indie horror game Shawarma Kiosk, while ‘Starry Eyed‘, which references her playing Silent Hill on a CRT, has inspired over 100,000 TikTok creations. Her following is drawn to immersive fantasy, world-building, and the interplay of visual, narrative, and musical storytelling.
The single sees Baby Jane delving further into trance and synthwave, crafting an evocative artistic Identity. Inspired by the memory of an unforgettable romantic encounter, the track conjures a sense of longing and nocturnal allure. The accompanying music video extends her shadowy, haunted universe, drawing visual cues from iconic horror games such as Resident Evil and Silent Hill. Mist-laden, atmospheric cityscapes and industrial towns rendered within a digital frame heighten the cybernetic presence of her enigmatic persona, lending the project a focused, screen-bound intensity.

The track serves as the latest glimpse into her forthcoming album, Winter Forever, set for release on July 10. The album traces a journey from nihilism and emotional desolation toward liberation found in rhythm, movement, and the dissolution of self within sound. Drawing on Russian pop traditions and the raw energy of internet-driven bedroom hardstyle, Baby Jane continues to carve out her own niche within the ethereal-synthwave EDM subgenre known as angelcore. The project is underpinned by a meticulously constructed universe of occult symbolism, pagan motifs, surrealist horror, abandoned urban landscapes, pixelated video game aesthetics, and desolate fields.

Baby Jane had this to say: “An album that I started with the intention of expressing loneliness morphed into an album of escape and personal freedom. The joy that the creating the music gave me became a silver lining to the hopeless state I was in when I started. In the past, my approach with music creation was more cerebral. The thought I poured into each previous project helped me grow into the artist I am today that can act on intuition and gut feeling.”
