On November 15th, 2024, prolific producer and DJ Sasha Carassi released a remix of French artist Harry Kaze’s track ‘On My Lips’ via Adam Beyer’s Truesoul/Drumcode Records, garnering support from RTÉ 2FM. A veteran of the electronic music scene since his teenage years, the Italian artist has built a remarkable career with releases on renowned labels like Drumcode, Diynamic, and Bedrock. Formerly the founder of the influential techno label Phobiq, he now runs ILINX, reflecting his evolving musical vision. Known for his dynamic performances, Carassi recently toured North America and played major festivals like Zamna and Kappa FuturFestival. Drawing inspiration from diverse influences such as Burial, Daft Punk, and David Bowie, his latest remix is poised to captivate fans of Röyksopp, Depeche Mode, and Soft Cell.
Harry Kaze is an emerging 26-year-old French DJ and music producer whose tracks ignite a passion for dynamic, energizing soundscapes that take listeners on a captivating sonic journey. His release ‘Damage’ received notable acclaim as Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune on BBC Radio 1 in 2023. Alongside this achievement, Harry has made significant strides in the music industry with tracks like ‘Next Level’ on Realm Records, founded by Gorgon City, and the collaboration ‘Now You Know’ with Hugo Banchi on Three Six Zero. While deeply rooted in house music, Harry also feels a strong connection to retro sounds.
The original track, a captivating piece of melodic house, weaves together intricate layers, driving rhythms, and soulful vocals, all masterfully produced by Harry Kaze. Sasha Carassi’s remix preserves the track’s ethereal essence while swapping Kaze’s vibrant four-on-the-floor beat for his own signature 80s-inspired drum patterns. Enhanced by rich atmospherics, sharp synths, and a more open, airy arrangement, the remix infuses the piece with a nostalgic yet invigorating charm.

This version highlights a climax in the break, which leaves room to a more essential design during the whole draft.”
