Daft Punk Now Sell Paintings

The onslaught of file sharing / piracy / technology (call it what you want) has forced even the biggest names in music to find innovative ways to keep them benjamins coming in, and French electro juggernauts Daft Punk are the latest to do something fresh in the name of making it rain: selling a limited edition full-length portrait depicting the pair in anachronistic garb atop a hill. With a jaguar at their feet. And a comet about to hit in the skies. Suitably dystopian for the group that you’d most expect to be playing when the world ends.

Since the pair’s Random Access Memories album was released in 2013, Daft Punk have been selling all manner of cool merchandise, including helmet rings earlier in 2016. The most recent piece is a Limited Edition Portrait Painting of the duo that also appeared in the “Starboy” video by The Weeknd. It is 27 x 41 inches and features “archival ink print, UV cured, on unbleached, archival 14 oz canvas.”

The paintings are going at $140 each and are limited to 500 units.

The official description on DaftPunk.com reads:

Classic cinema “one sheet” size, measuring 27”x 41” inches printed with a 3” white bleed around the art. These canvas prints feature archival ink print, UV cured, on unbleached, archival 14 oz canvas.

Each canvas art print is hand numbered and signed by artist Warren Fu. Limited edition of 500 units.

This item is sold unframed. The canvas art print can be hung unframed or placed onto 0.75” or 1.5” stretcher frames to be ready for framing at your local frame store.

Shipping W/C 5th December. Please note we cannot guarantee delivery for the holidays.

This is a pre-order. Orders containing this item will only ship when the pre-order goods become available. Orders WILL NOT be part shipped.
